How long have you been a Chef for?
Too long to remember… 35 years!
Why did you become a Chef?
My nanna got me into cooking, I used to spend time making pies with her standing on my stool.
What is your favourite dish to cook and why?
I like cooking anything and just love cooking in general.
What’s the strangest thing you’ve ever been asked to cook?
Someone was once eating their fish and chips and asked me to re-fry it all…
Have you ever cooked for a celebrity?
I cooked for Gary Rhodes when I was working at Rowton Hall. He was hosting a function and sit down meal with 5 or 6 courses.
What is the best thing about being a Chef?
If you’re a good chef, you’ll never be out of a job and will learn something new everywhere.
What three words sum up why you work for CJUK?
