A huge congratulations to Robin who was recognised as January 2018 CJUK ‘Chef of the Month’. Robin has been working with CJUK since 2008 and we recently caught up with him for a Q & A…

How long have you been a Chef for? Robin Beeson - Chef of the Month - January 18

What was your first job?

I was a Commi Chef in a small local pub in Bolton.


Best job you have ever had?

I really enjoyed opening the Garden Centre Restaurant.

It was a real challenge for me and it gave me real sense of achievement when I built it up to be a success.


Best thing about being a chef?

Team work and seeing the satisfaction of people enjoy the food I have cooked them.

I just really enjoy cooking, it’s my hobby.


Guilty pleasure (food)

Crunchy peanut butter sandwiches (on cheap white bread) with a glass of milk.
