Robin
I have been with CJUK since 2016. I’ve also been to university to become a catering teacher as I would love to give something back after my 23 years in the business. CJUK have been amazing, they have supported me when I’ve needed more days off to get assignments done which has took a load off my mind, they really are a great company to work for. I would recommend them to anyone who’s looking for more out of their jobs, or just for a better lifestyle balance.
Growing up I originally wanted to be an architect, but being the first one home every night I used to cook tea for the family as my mum and dad worked in Manchester. I really started to enjoy cooking different meals, which got me thinking I could do this as a job. So I followed my passion to college for 3 years, and I have now been a chef for 23 years and I love my job!
I was worried going to my first job as I was going into the unknown with a different team to what I was usually used to, I am a team person so wanted to do whatever it took to make sure the team were all happy with how I was doing.
Becoming part of this amazing company and finally getting appreciated for what I love doing, I’ve been able to get a great balance with my home life/studies
…and after 41 years I finally got to go to my 1st concert to see Robbie Williams without worrying about work!
I’m very proud to be a CJUK chef, I was so shocked to get client’s choice award at CJUK Live 2016.
A few words from the team:
“We love working with Robin! He is polite, hard working and always gets on well with the kitchen team wherever he goes. We’re pleased he’s using his knowledge and skills to teach the next generation of Chefs and we get chance work with him again in some of the school holidays.”
