CJUK are proud to partner with Hospitality Action to offer all our candidates a free and confidential Employee Assistance Programme (EAP).
As a way of showing our support, we raise money for the cause every year by running themed events at our offices as part of our dress down day initiatives.
We raised almost £80 this Halloween by hosting a hospitality themed fancy dress, including lots of spooky games and a bake sale.
The CJUK team partnered with sister-company Cummins Mellor and dressed up as ingredients from a fry up. We have to say that some of us really went the extra mile by making them by hand!
Some of the other fantastic outfits including jelly bellys, pumpkin soup, a pizza slice and a CJUK Chef.
To see all the outfits, visit our Facebook page!
To continue our festive fundraising initiative, we have signed up to the ‘Great Big Christmas Turn On’ alongside some fantastic companies including Bespoke Hotels, Gilpin and The Goring.
On Tuesday 3rd December, the hospitality industry is going to attempt to achieve a record by turning on the largest number of simultaneously illuminated Christmas trees ever, all in different locations around the UK.
To get involved, all you need to do is pledge £99 and all proceeds will go to Hospitality Action by signing up on the official website.
Since introducing the EAP through Hospitality Action, many CJUK Chefs have taken advantage to help them back into work and to battle their anxiety and addictions.
Michelle Mellor, CJUK’s Founder and Managing Director, believes that employers have a duty of care to look after the health and wellbeing of all their employees both physically and psychologically.
For this years’ Stress Awareness Week, we are highlighting the CJUK Charter – a promise to our Chefs that they will be looked after by ensuring they have the right support, working conditions and pay.
