Head Chef – Small Hotel – £12-£14ph

The restaurant aims to create seasonal homemade dishes. The ideal candidate will pay close attention to detail and be happy to design menus using seasonal ingredients. They must be confident in leading a team, and efficient and calm enough to take control during busy service periods.

Your surroundings will be for you to enjoy on your days off, you can even reach the capital within 45 minutes on the train, so you won’t be short of things to do!

As an Interim Head Chef your role may include;

• Stock control and ordering – in line with budgets
• Controlling health and hygiene procedures
• Managing staff rotas
• Recruiting, training and developing staff
• Ensuring food is prepared and presented to the standard expected and complies with the company food safety regulations
• Creating a work environment that promotes a positive attitude, pride and good morale

The ideal Interim Head Chef must;

• Be an experienced Head Chef for a minimum of 2/3 years working in a high volume, fast paced kitchen within hotel/restaurants/contract catering.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Have the ability to organise and plan your own work and that of others
• Have the ability to control a budget and work with figures
• Be standards driven and detail-orientated with the ability to organise and plan ahead.
