Gibbon Bridge Hotel are looking to recruit a permanent Sous Chef to work at their award-winning 30 bedroomed four-star country hotel in the beautiful Forest of Bowland. The hotel is located close to Clitheroe and is just 20 minutes from Preston. Their chef-patron is seeking an experienced chef to join her brigade and assist in the running of the kitchen. The ideal candidate will have a proven record of accomplishment in a similar position and be professional, flexible and able to work to a rosette standard.
The successful Sous Chef will be working within a busy restaurant, which aims to serve the finest food in the area offering modern British cuisine. The hotel boasts two private dining rooms offering fine dining with fabulous views, well-manicured gardens and a unique alfresco dining area which caters for up to 60 guests. In addition, the function facilities can seat up to 200 covers and the restaurant has seating for 120 covers.
Due to the COVID-19 related restrictions over the past 12months, the hotel expects to be extremely busy this year with lots of functions, weddings and events. The ideal applicant will be comfortable working in a busy kitchen and thrive under pressure!
