We’re bringing our CJUK Live event to the Northern Restaurant & Bar at Manchester Central on 20th March 2018.
CJUK champions flexible working and is passionate about creating a better work-life balance for all Chefs through its #ABetterWay message, which it will bring to NRB18.
The team will be sharing advice on how to recruit effectively in hospitality, and will take the chef crisis debate to the stage when they lead a debate on ‘An Industry in Crisis?’ talking about the chronic skills shortage, shrinking labour pool and the 1.3 million people needed by 2024.
Katie Mellor, Director of CJUK, said; “The chef shortage across our sector is leading the industry into a crisis. Attracting and retaining talent is something that we must get better at, particularly as we face the further shortages anticipated by Brexit.
We look forward to debating this topic at the Northern Restaurant & Bar, taking a close look at how we tackle this shortage, and how we work to create a more positive work/life experience for them, which we believe will help us to attract and retain talent.”
Thom Hetherington, CEO of NRB18 added: “I was lucky enough to be on a panel at CJUK Live in 2017. CJUK understands the challenges facing the sector, and their knowledge, experience and debate will be a welcomed addition to NRB18.”
The Northern Restaurant & Bar will take place at Manchester Central on the 20th – 21st March 2018. www.northernrestaurantandbar.co.uk
